Methods and Techniques
In (transpersonal) coaching, a variety of methods and techniques are used to help coachees uncover hidden patterns, discover their strengths, process emotions, unlock their potential, and formulate and achieve concrete goals.

Self-Reflection
Self-reflection forms the foundation of any (transpersonal) Coaching. It allows coachees to better understand themselves, recognize deeply rooted patterns of thought and behavior, and deliberately bring about change. All the other techniques mentioned can be used to support this process.
Identifying Limiting Beliefs
Limiting beliefs are deeply rooted convictions that can negatively influence one’s thinking and actions. We are all familiar with statements like ‚I am not good enough‘ or ‚I always do everything wrong‘. In coaching, these beliefs and their origins are identified and examined. New, empowering beliefs are then formulated and implemented through an action plan.
Emotional Work
In coaching, ‚learning to deal with emotions‘ means consciously perceiving, understanding, and taking control of one’s feelings instead of being overwhelmed by them. Coachees explore the origins and triggers of specific emotions (e.g., sadness, anger, fear, guilt, etc.) and observe how they typically respond and how their reactions affect themselves and others. Alternative behavioral patterns are then developed and applied.
Systemic Constellations
Systemic constellations help make hidden dynamics within systems visible. Examples of systems include family, teams, partnerships, or even the coachee’s internal personal systems. In a constellation, objects are used as representatives for individual members and arranged spatially, revealing relationship structures, conflicts, and unconscious entanglements. This provides a basis for finding new perspectives and solutions.
Work with Inner Personality Parts
We all have different personality parts that develop in response to certain circumstances. Each part has its own needs, beliefs, and behavior patterns. Sometimes inner peace is disrupted when these parts generate conflicting thoughts, emotions, or behaviors. Coaching helps coachees identify these parts, understand their needs, and discover their function. Coachees learn to engage in dialogue with these parts, mediate between them, and integrate them to resolve internal conflicts.
Guided Imagery / Inner Visualization
This technique helps coachees access unconscious resources, become aware of inner processes, and consciously influence them. Inner images are used to process emotions, resolve blockages, or develop new perspectives. Guided imagery can, for example, be used to forgive oneself or others or to manage fears.
Resource-Oriented Techniques
Resource-oriented techniques aim to make coachees aware of their strengths, abilities, and talents and use them intentionally. Rather than focusing on deficits, coachees discover how their skills, personal qualities, positive experiences, and social environment can strengthen self-confidence and open up new possibilities for action.
Transpersonal Questions
These targeted, open questions are among the most important tools in transpersonal coaching. They are formulated clearly and concisely, without judgment. They help create awareness, resolve mental blocks, strengthen personal responsibility, and generate new solutions. In this way, they support coachees in managing personal crises, doubts, and uncertainties.
Values and Meaning Work
Everyone has values that shape their thinking and behavior, such as honesty, freedom, or security. Coaching helps coachees identify which values are essential and non-negotiable, and how they can be integrated into daily life. This supports making coherent decisions and experiencing greater authenticity.
Work with Life Goals and Life Visions
This method helps coachees gain clarity about long-term life goals and develop an inspiring vision for the future. Personal values, desires, and passions are analyzed and connected with realistic action steps.
